THE DEAD ROCKS IN THE XIV GOIÂNIA NOISE FESTIVAL

The Dead Rocks will be performing in Brazil’s biggest independent festival, the Goiânia Noise Festival, promoted by Monstro Discos.

The greatest bands will be present this year, including HELMET, CIRCLE JERKS and VASELINES, featuring members of the legendary Belle & Sebastian.

Other attractions include the Americans THE BLACK LIPS, the Canadians BLACK MOUNTAIN, the Brazilian MARCELO CAMELO, vocalist of the extinct band LOS HERMANOS, besides the infinity of independent bands from the rock scene of Brazil.

The festival will happen on November 21, 22 and 23 at Centro Cultural Oscar Niemeyer in Goiânia.

THE DEAD ROCKS AND MUDHONEY PLAY IN SAO CARLOS

That's right, ladies and gentlemen, you are neither dreaming nor delusional.
The Dead Rocks will share the stage with American band MUDHONEY during the "2^nd Contato Festival" in Sao Carlos on October 12/08.

Other than the precursors of grunge, musical style that made history in the 90’s with bands like Nirvana, Soundgarden , Screaming Trees and Pearl Jam, the festival will also feature France’s one man band, KING AUTOMATIC, and some important names of the Brazilian independent scene, such as Macaco Bong, Cobras Malditas, Astronauta Pinguim, Blus The Ville and Criatua.

"Contato Festival" is realized by Radio UFSCar (Universidade Federal de São Carlos) in partnership with other departments of the university and offers besides concerts, workshops, debates, films and exhibitions.

THE DEAD ROCKS IN ARGENTINA

The dead rocks have confirmed a "One Million Dollar Surf Band" release tour across Argentina during November 2008.

The concerts, which came from the union of the band with Argentinean record label Scartter Records, will happen on November 7 to 10/08 in Buenos Aires, Rosário and La Plata.

The band will play alongside Los Tormentos, The Siniestros and others.

THE DEAD ROCKS IN TRIBUTE TO MUDHONEY

The Dead Rocks will be featured in a tribute record to Seattle band Mudhoney.

The song chosen by the band is the instrumental theme "March to Fuzz", previously released in am homonym triple album by Mudhoney. The song was recorded in the band’s own studio and was co-produced by Daniel Roviriego, sound technician for Radio UFSCar and technical assistant for Paulo Pardela, who is founder and vocalist of hard-rock band Tarja Preta. The recording and mixing were done live on august 12/08, bassist Paul Punk’s birthday.

The album, which will feature the most important independent bands from Brazil, will be released by Monstro Discos in celebration of the 10 years of the label and will be called "March to Sickness".

The band will officially release the album on October 12/08 during Contato Festival in Sao Carlos. In this event the band will share the stage with MUDHONEY itself and with one man French band KING AUTOMATIC.

Nirvana producer to mix new The Dead Rocks album

The new The Dead Rocks’ album will be mixed by legendary American producer Jack Endino.

Jack Endino is a musical producer from Seattle, associated with Sub Pop records and the grunge scene, having produced albums for bands such as Mudhoney, L7, Screaming Trees, Soundgarden, Green River, Gas Ruffer, Nebula and Watts, among others, but he is most famous for producing the first Nirvana album, Bleach, released in 1989.

Recently he produced bands Hot Hot Heat, Zeke and High On Fire. He also played in the classic band Skin Yard. Endino has a solo project with many albums released, the newest of which “Permanent Fatal Error”.

In Brazil, Jack Endino has produced Titãs’ album Titanomaquia amongst others.

The new THE DEAD ROCKS album was recorded at the studio Le Boot, in São Carlos (Brazil) and will be mixed at the Soundhouse studio, in Seattle.

THE DEAD ROCKS on tour with DADDY-O GRANDE

This is a great opportunity to see for the first time the famous american guittar player ,Daddy-O GRANDE, together with one of the biggest surf music band from Brasil,The Dead Rocks.

The Dead Rocks will play along Daddy-O during all his shows in Brazil as a support band. The short tour will happen during 15 until 21 of may 2007.

Danny Amis, also known as Daddy-O Grande,is one of the founding members of the musical group, "LOS STRAITJACKETS".

Besides performing in America's Instrumental Rock and Roll Combo,The Video work of Daddy-O Grande can be seen in the productions of Go-Go Robics, Volumes 1 and 2, starring the World Famous Pontani Sisters.

No stranger to the recording studio, Daddy-O Grande also takes on the role of Record Producer with Mexico's sensational "Lost Acapulco".

A seasoned World Traveller, Daddy-O Grande received rave reviews for his website,"Daddy-O Grande's Guide to Mexico City" several years ago.

A high-paced, whirlwind schedule made it difficult for Daddy-O to maintain the website of the ever-changing city, but hopefully it will return again someday soon.

Daddy-O Grande's earlier work can be found in the recordings of The Raybeats (1980-1982), and in the archives of The Nashville Network and Opryland Productions where he worked on such classics as "Nashville Now", "Grand Ole Opry Live" and "Hee-Haw".

The Dead Rocks strike again on the Hawaiian TV!

Once more the band The Dead Rockss shows your compositions on the biggest video podcast of surf in the world: The Hawaii Surf Session Report is produced entirelyin hawaii,in the city of honululu.

This time The Dead Rockss shows two compositions in the episode #108, that was on air last 18 october 2006, the songs choosed this time were: "BH-MG" and "Mauis sunset".

Each episode of the Hawaii Surf Session Report is watched for more than 15.000, sometimes 30.000 viewers in the whole world, the first soundtrack for the show was aired on the 26 july 2006.

The show is also screened at ABC WORLD News tonight (american tv news) and also published at THE WIRED MAGAZINE amongst others canadian,peruan,germain and japanese magazines.

The Dead Rocks now distributed in Portugal and Spain

Monstro Discos made a deal of distribution of almost all their catolog in Portugal and Spain with the portuguese label Groovie Records. Now, The Dead Rocks\' title \"International Brasilian Surfs\" is available at the label\'s site (www.groovierecords.com ) and at specialized shops in that countries!

The Dead Rocks in mini CDs

The Dead rocks was selected, with another 11 bands, to be part of a compilation of All Tracks Records. The compilation is distributed with clothes of the Alltracks Rockwear. It will be 50.000 copys of each mini CD, the total will be 150.000 copys. In each mini CD there will be 1 song of 4 bands. The Dead Rocks will participate with the ureleased song L´espion Invisible en Vacances. It´s a tipical spy theme. It will be part of the EP Tiki Twist, the band´s next released.
